New Workplace Health and Safety Act Webinar

The WA Government has finally announced that the new WHS Act and accompanying regulation will commence operation effective from 31 March 2022.

The new legislation is largely based on the model WHS legislation which was adopted by most other states and territories adopted in 2012 and 2013.  This harmonised approach relies on respective state and territory governments implementing their own Work Health and Safety legislation based on the national legislation.  The intent is to create a nationally consistent approach to the management of workplace safety that allows organisations to adopt a single set of safety systems across their organisation that will apply wherever work is performed

Join CCIWA Matt Butterworth (WHS Practitioner) and Paul Moss (Principal Workplace Relations Advocate)  as they provide an introduction to the new WHS legislation and regulations and outline the practical steps organisation should be taking to transition to the new system.
