Strange Clouds ft Nicc Johnson & Mo'Funk

Scrape the crusty-burnt peeling skin off thy arses dear brethren & bretherettes, for the downward slope towards the tail-end of summer gifts us all a gifty gift; a gift that brings everyone together like a sticky, buzzing, vibrating hive of bees, pulsating in yumyum honey (how’s that for some imagery? bzzzzt). Since you clicked whatever link it was to be reading this hogwash of text, you should very well know that we are (again) indeed talking about the nomadic gypsy vibe-factory known as Strange Clouds. Where we move our troupe to next is always a bigger mystery than whether the slow, dimwittedly softly spoken rotund gents from Making a Murderer actually killed that undeserving photographer lady (or the location of the part isn't at all a mystery if you’ve spoken to us or looked at the "location" in the event/flier before reading this HEHE)

After the roaring success and PTSD of our last party settle, it's time for ya'll to stack the Benjamins, pineapples, hunjos, shells & opals, or livestock you have for barter because we're gonna make it Craaaaaane. How the holy union between ourselves and one of the Cross' remaining shining beacons of warmth hadn't happened (sans a takeover or 2) prior to now is beyond us all. If you haven't partaken in a frollick previously, it's a beaut little place round the back of Bayswater road with a notoriously moreish food menu to whet your asian viking appetite. Also multiple bars, seating and a lovely eye waterin' open, undercover courtyard that you can even K.O. a lung lolly in if you so wish (take that, conservative State Premiere's office, you scrotums). It was also built atop an ancient cupcake factory burial site, some say that if you focus hard enough you can smell the spirits of infinite cupcake - if you can't, you probably need to be more enchanted

++ JAMS:Taking the Cloudy Crane reigns for you on the 26th are 2 over-able bodied chaps who are also no strangers to each other, Nicc Johnson & Mo'funk The DJ. Having both paid their dues with residencies at the globally branded Pacha in Ibiza, we thought it was more than justified that we give the lads a set each to whisk up a batch of the delicious doughy delights you'd expect from peeps of their pedigree. Mo', one should remember from the damage he's previously done at Clouds (with a ridic cool live touch added) and you'd expect nothing less from the fresh touch that Nicc's groove will bring to our humble dig, a taste of what talent this re-emerging artist has under the belt. May even get to hear some of his own gems from labels like Salted Music.

In support we have Sydney institution; Refuge hound-dog Adamwah. We've been listening to this guy for a while now and he never fails to impress us with his brand of bounce. Check out some of the epic releases he's also put out on labels like Nurvous records (and Refuge too ya mugs). Next up we have newly signed Hi-Top agency recruit Kris Ramea. KR has been breaking some ground of his own, coming off the back of gigs like field day and the schlammin' Ron Basejam (of Crazy P fame) party at Crane. Another stealthy character to keep your peepers and hearers on, in particular some of his own forthcoming productions. Finally, we'd like to introduce a duo called Kamorta. Kamorta is comprised of Scotty and our boy Alex, who has been supporting clouds since it's birth - having them play here is like watching our young hatchling lizard alligator babies break out of a gooey shell into the comforting sun and take control of the whole swamp. Glorious. The boys have become quite a talent with a few recent radio spots and gigs at We Love... at the Burdekin.
